The Trump Presser

A few thoughts on President-elect Donald Trump’s press conference which I attended at Trump Tower today:

I was disappointed by the number of questions from the press about hacking, attribution, and without saying it specifically, the golden shower rumors. Here was an opportunity to ask substantive questions just prior to inauguration, whose answers can have the gravity to move global markets and re-shift power structures, and too many in the press asked about the story of the day in tunnel vision.

Pressing someone live can be revealing, but Trump’s answers were already clear and the story of the day was spurious. I had questions about the Syrian peace process, trade deals with the UK, and endless other things. I am sure you, the American public, had questions of your own and could have outdone many in the press who serve you.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
