Nature Communications is one of the highly regarded peer-reviewed journals in the publishing industry. Nature in itself is a renowned publisher. Nature is also known as NComms.

Nature is an open access journal accepting scientifically rigorous research, regardless of novelty.

Over the years, Nature Communications has published numerous papers which are quite popular in the research community. Nature Communications has an impact factor of 12.124 which is extremely high as compared to other journals in the same league.

Nature Communications started in the year 2010 and has been growing ever since. Nature Communications doesn’t have a fix publishing frequency. Their publishing frequency is continuous and upon acceptance. They have a very strict acceptance rate of 7.7%. They get over 50,000 submissions every year. Needless to say, it’s very difficult to get in.

Publishing a paper in Nature Communications is one of the toughest job a researcher can think of. Unless you have a novel/groundbreaking idea, you probably won’t survive the 1st screening round.

The Nature Communications follows the standard “Nature” style for referencing. They charge a huge fee of $5200 (for USA) for each manuscript to be published. The fees is no joke but it’s more than worth it considering the fact that Nature is looked at as one of the ace publishers in the scientific research community.

All in all, if you’re unsure of whether to submit your paper to Nature Communications for publishing, please go ahead without any hesitation. It’ll surely bring glory to your career. You can find the submission guidelines to Nature Communications here.
