When the Ignorant Don’t Have Facts, They Resort to Name Calling: Exhibit A

Ah, name calling. The last refuge of the ignorant and uninformed.

Medium may be the last playing field leveler available. A place where people who rode the short bus can express their thoughts, fears, hopes and dreams right along side people who can actually count to twenty without taking their shoes off.

In response to a recent comment of mine, Mikey enlightened us.

Here it is:

I don’t have a clue what he means.

Yes. I know Obama was the first black President. However, Jackie Robinson wasn’t the first professional, black baseball player. He was the first black baseball player to play in the white-only major leagues.

Before Mr. Robinson tied on the cleats for his first-in-the-white-league professional game he was well-known in the “Negro League”.

I’m not sure what Mikey means by his comment. Maybe a clue can be found in his subtitle: “Altering my own reality since 1955”.

Well, Mikey, you succeeded.
