You Know You Are Over Your Ex When…

1. They don’t dominate your thoughts. At first, you couldn’t do something without an idea of the ex flooding in and ruining the moment. Something could trigger the memories; staring at a cloud, a particular song. Anything. They still rented space in your head. Now, entire weeks pass without the ex crisscrossing your thoughts.
2. You’re screwing someone different, and it doesn’t feel wrong. Enough said.
3. You begin to overlook elements in the relationship; things you believed were great. Nope. Time destroys. Time heals.

4. You don’t still hate them with a passion. If you are still despising your ex, then you’re still emotional about their life. If you’re passionate, then you’re not “over it”.
5. Your ex sends you a message asking you to hang out, and you can say “no” — and mean it.
6. You’ve blocked their number.
7. You quit keeping track of your ex to see who wins the “I’m so over it” race. Keeping track will ensure you finish last.
8. When you say you’re glad for them, you mean it. Almost. Like 95%.
