You speak from the position of ”White Privilege”.

>>White privilege? I’m 50 percent American Indian. My great-grandfather was murdered in the Battle at Wounded Knee.

Because you are white, and a member of the race that founded/stole/raped (depending on your historical perspective) this country, it is culturally difficult for you to see the perspective of another race, and their experience in this country.

>>Because of your youth, it’s culturally difficult for you to see the perspective of people who just may be older and more experienced than you. Having knowledge does not mean one has wisdom. Actually, the more one “assumes”, the more they are trying to fill in gaps.

It doesn’t make you racist, it just means that you don’t feel empathy on that level because it doesn’t really affect you either way. Now, just because you aren’t racist doesn’t make the sentiment behind the celebration no racist also.

>>I haven’t said anything that a rational person would take as racist. What I have done is pissed-off a few (very few relatively speaking) politically-correct know-nothings.

On the subject of the “N” word. I personally don’t care for it, and generally give artists a pass when they do anything that makes society bristle, because it is driving a conversation that needs to be had.

>> So, situational racism is ok? Your focus on race may make you a — wait for it — racist.

I generally am not upset when another black person uses that term in reference to me, where in getting, jest, or in anger. Because of our shared skin color, I do not have to worry about the historical precedent of hate that the word represents. But you can’t say it to me ever, because I need to be able to whether or not you are playing around, so we just are not going to play at all.
Your, race created the hate based precedent of the word, not mine. So you can’t use it in reference to me, unless you are ready to defend yourself.

>>I don’t need to defend myself from you or any of the other politically-correct seeking juvenile missles. Your words alone are enough defense for me.
