I figured that the current state of tidiness marketing was just a hangover from when women were relegated to achieving happiness and personal fulfillment by being the bestest housewife and mom on the block. Seems like every laundry detergent and bathroom spray advertisement stars a woman who maybe has a quirky boutique or home business to run in between soccer games and fixing up supper, but secretly her life is defined by whether those towels in the dryer come out fluffy and spring fresh or not.
