Hi, this is Kwasi!

Thanks for taking time to look at my blog.

I am a Young. African. Journalist. Social Activist. From Ghana with love .

I work as a journalist based in Accra and I report on an array of issues with a special interest in human rights, youth empowerment, gender, urbanisation, environment, the SDGs, social innovation and technology, art and entrepreneurship in Ghana.

I am a student of the Ghana Institute of Journalism (Class of 2017); where I am studying for a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies – Journalism major. I am an alumnus of Presbyterian Boys Secondary School – Legon and Silicon Valley School.

I am currently an intern with the news website, Pulse Ghana.

Before that, I interned with Joy 99.7 FM and then MyJoyOnline; in the Sports Section. During my time at Sports, I wrote news stories for online and radio, feature articles, recorded news desk reports and assisted in the production of seven different shows a week.

I have also volunteered with my university’s campus radio station and written for the student run newspaper. For a year, I administered the social media accounts for the youth-run humanitarian organisation, Keteke Ghana.

In 2015, I founded Accra SOUP, a non-profit organisation that runs a quarterly crowd funding dinner for community projects and social entrepreneurs in Accra.
