I Saved So Much Money By Not Going To Salons!
I agree with the fact that spending money on something is different for everyone and one likes to spend money on something they want to prioritize.
For me, I love getting hair and makeup done. And I know a lot of my friends who visit a salon for a simple haircut or to just trim the dead ends or get some bangs. I know that they do this because they claim that they are getting them done professionally! Well! good for them. It is their choice.
Honestly, idc if my hair is getting done professionally or not but as long as I am happy with it and feel confident in my appearance.
1. I do my makeup:
Even if I am going to a party or attending weddings, I prefer doing my makeup rather than going to salons for this. I think this saved me so much money without realizing it.
I probably need to get more good at makeup but I am still doing a lot better. I recently learned the correct way to skin prep for makeup so that the makeup doesn’t look cakey but almost flawless as I am dry-skin girly.
2. I know how to do fancy haircuts :
I think I was 14 when I started to give myself bangs then slowly shifted to giving myself a whole haircut of different types. And I am 21 now.
I have gone from so many phases of hair from long curly hair to a bob haircut. Lol! I still don’t regret it because I have this perspective about getting hair done which never scares me off a new haircut: “It will grow back”.
I also remember ruining my long hair to get step-cutting but that’s okay as I was new to it. Luckily, I have sisters so I have tried haircuts on them too but thank god it always turned out great.
I think usually people get professional haircuts twice or thrice a year. Don’t attack me! Maybe I am wrong! And it is not that cheap. So basically I end up saving money without realizing it.
Recently, I felt obsessed with wolf cut so I think that is what I am going to get but I am waiting for my hair to grow a little longer.
Have you tried giving yourself a haircut?
3. I never got my nails done:
This is something most girls are obsessed with. For me, I don’t like getting my nails done. I don’t even remember having long nails in the past few years. It might be shocking for you! But the reason is simple, I think that shorter nails with no nail paint on look more clean and natural. Don’t get me wrong, I know longer nails are also clean and some of the designs are extremely captivating but I just prefer simplicity more.
People spend money on their nails every month and thankfully it is not on my list. A nail cutter does the job for me.
This is how I ended up saving money again.
Do you like long nails or simple short, natural ones?
