We can connect to a Wi-Fi network on our iPhone using a QR code📱

In iOS 11, Camera app detects QR codes automatically. And, it supports QR codes containing Wi-Fi configuration information. So, we can connect to a Wi-Fi network on our iPhone using a QR code.

Wi-Fi QR Code Format

WIFI:T:WPA;S:mynetwork;P:mypasscode;;

• WPA—the authentication type
• mynetwork — the network SSID
• mypasscode — the password

⚠️ Hidden SSIDs are not supported.

How to Connect to a Wi-Fi network

1. Scan a QR code in the Camera app (Photo or Square mode)
2. Tap on the Wi-Fi QR code notification
3. Join the Wi-Fi network

I think it’s really useful for visitors to our office. There’s no need to type the password.
