Want to learn how to do an ollie? Maybe you’re fixing to impress people with some culinary expertise? These things aren’t easy, and in order to become somewhat proficient at them you have to dedicate time and energy to them. You have to put in the sweat.
Are You Sweating?

Thanks for sharing. I feel that this article explains a lot about our culture and how our generation has changed as a result of the instant gratification age of the internet.

We want things now and we don’t want to work for them. We forget what it is like to work towards goals and want to skip ahead to the finish line, whether in fitness (and actually sweating) or in the workplace (where ‘sweating’ may mean sticking around for an hour longer than you normally would to explore a new skill, get another perspective, etc.).

I understand that it can be difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel and we are all so “busy,” but I recall studying for exams in high school and studying for the SATs before all of these iPhone apps and other distractions existed. These were long journeys that we were committed to because we knew that doing well would give us a chance at a better future. What has happened to our perspective?
