CS371p Fall 2019: Week 10
What did you do this past week?
This week I really didn’t do much but study for my exams. Last week on Tuesday I had a history exam and then I have upcoming exams next week. So I spent most of the week just studying and getting everything in place. My partner and I also finished Darwin, and all that's really left is just doing the unit testing and the acceptance testing, and we are basically done!
What’s in your way?
Right now I’m kinda just stressed out with all my exams, I really just need to get all these exams out of the way before I can relax and just prepare for the finals. I think I really need to grind the last couple of weeks because I personally feel like I’m behind even though I’m not really. I just need to prepare for my Algo exam Monday, and hopefully, also prepare for my chem exam.
What will you do next week?
Next week like I said, I’m going to be just working on studying for my two exams, once those are over I think I’m going to take a well-deserved break and just relax for the rest of the week. Since we finished Darwin I feel like I’m at a pretty good place after my two exams. I’m going to make sure that I start studying all ready for the upcoming final because I didn’t do that great on the last exam and I really want to get a good grade in this class!
What was your experience of the vector implementation?
I thought it was really cool seeing how the Vector’s real implementation worked. It was a bit intimidating seeing all the things that are going on behind the scene, but I feel like I had a pretty good grasp of what was going on. Overall it was a pretty neat experience.
What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?
My tip of the week is if you have a car, even if you live close to campus, get the N parking pass. It’s extremely cheap compared to the C pass, and it really comes in handy when you are working late at the GDC. A lot of times you don’t want to go to campus because of the walk, so driving and parking behind the GDC helps so much!
