Indeed. I constantly have to rewrite code written by incompetent programmers because the code is buggy, fragile, imprecise, incomplete, not extendable, not maintainable, not comprehendible … of course talentless hacks can program, just as talentless hacks can perform surgery or write legal briefs … but the quality of the result matters.
