I too purchase more books than necessary. Some, after reading a chapter or two, aren’t worth more time or are just terrible. I don’t have a car so mail order now takes the place of browsing bookstores. Back then I could be choosy as I never had much money to spend. I was a member of several book clubs that sent books in the mail. Used bookstores in the 70’s weren’t around except by the university where I discovered the stores, when I went to school. Good luck with your pursuits. I picked up Baudrillard today along with Deluze & Guattari’s “A Thousand Plateaus”; that will take a lot of time, so I’ll take it in small doses alongside other books.
