I ponder on those I’ve hurt.
Those that hurt me.
I laugh alone.

Mock those that dream.
Dream the same dream I dream.
Fulfill a dream I never dreamed.

Found love a little too late.
Hope love breaks apart,
Know love will never push the heart.

As commanded. I’ve done.
Tax given to those demanded.
Too weak to fall apart.

Hold on to three branches.
Fruit from a root far apart.
But a root stock and stark.

Absent minded, I find peace.
Unescorted, I find comfort.
