Southern New Hampshire University, non-profit school of hate.

I have been a student at SNHU for the last 5 years, first as a Psychology major before switching to a History major. During these 5 years, I have been made to look like a moron, received veiled threats, and have received racist commentary from this educational institutions faculty. Doesn’t sound like a very good university, does it?

I’m sure you’ve seen their commercials on TV. You’ve heard the claims, from those “students”. Those are paid students hand selected by the University to promote their propaganda. First, SNHU doesn’t care about “student success,” the main goal of SNHU is the all powerful Federal Student Financial Aid dollar. How is this university considered non-profit, when they take money from the US Department of Education, but are unable to teach a pertinent course that is relevant to an educational field of study?

Recently, I have had the opportunity to speak with former students of SNHU; and all have had similar experiences as I have. Advisors that are never available, instructors that don’t know what they are teaching or even informed about Faculty Policy, Grading Policy, and are allowed to take retaliatory measures if a grievance is filed against them. To make this worse, the University’s policy is that the instructors are allowed to send racist comments and emails to students. Meanwhile, the student is treated like garbage and a source of money, nothing more.

The fact that an instructor used derogatory terminology towards me, because I am both Gay and Jewish doesn’t seem to make a difference to SNHU. As they told me on more than one occasion, instructors can do and say what they please with no consequences and students are always wrong; shows me that they don’t care one iota about their student body. Perhaps this is the reason why they are losing students at a staggering rate.

In 5 years, I have yet to hear from anyone at this university regarding my academic success. That is very disturbing. This isn’t a university, so much as it appears to be nothing more than a sham like Trump University.
