Alienware has lagged for quite a long time, being among the few manufacturers who still produced lumbering bricks in the form of gaming laptops. Modern gaming laptops are way thin and light, with most of them weighing under 5 pounds. The good news is, Alienware M15 is the newest gaming laptop from Dell’s gaming laptop flagship. And according to Alienware, it is also the thinnest and the most lightweight.

The laptop is 14% thinner than other Alienware 13 laptops at 15 inches, and 20% lighter at 2.177kg.

The Alienware M15 notebook features an outstanding battery life of 17 hours on idle mode, a wider (than previous Alienware 13 laptops) screen of 15.6 inches, and a magnesium alloy casing for portability.

The battery is offered in two options; one is the 60 Watt Hour which can support up to 7.1 hours of video playback. The second option is the 90 Watt Hour that supports up to 10.6 hours of video playback. The 60 Watt Hour battery option can run up to 13.4 hours on idle mode.

And of course, the sleek and lightweight design is not the only notable highlight on this machine as it’s packed with incredibly powerful software found in modern gaming computers. The computer gives you an option of 8th generation quad-core Core i5–8300H, or the commonly used six-core core i7–8750H. It has a two option of a 1060 OC, or a 1070 Max-Q Nvidia GeForce GTX GPU.

The Alienware M15 offers three options on the resolution. One of them is the base display of 1080p 60Hz, which leaves you with a possibility of stepping up to a much sharper 1080p 144Hz, or a 4K 60Hz display. The screen features a narrow side bezel to increase the screen space, and it features numeric backlit keypad.

There’s also room for expanding the RAM to 16GB, and dual storage of up to 1TB of a micro SD, and a 1TB hybrid drive.

The sleek Alienware M15 will be available from October 25th with a base price of $1,299.
