HireVue Sucks. It Really Does.

I’m a current employee at HireVue. It’s really bad right now. Kevin Parker, our new CEO has been busy. What’s he been up to?

  1. He fired the VP of Human Resources
  2. He fired both cofounders, Mark Newman and Chip Luman.

I’ve been here for 3 years and it’s really sad what is happening. It went from an amazing place to work to a place where you don’t know if you’ll have a job the next day.

But, the people in HR will try to spin it to look good. They are obsessive about “employee branding”, which is so fucking stupid. And all the people in those weird happy pictures you see on social and on the Muse and everywhere else — guess what, all those pretty faces are of people that don’t work at HireVue anymore. A bunch of fake asses they are.

Oh, let’s talk about the sales org— HireVue is the worst place to be a sales rep. The old sales leader slept around with his sales reps. It’s a total culture of jocks and bravado. If you’re in sales — don’t work at HireVue. I hated that sales leader for how he treated us. A fucking jerk.

Are you a female sales rep?

Definitely don’t work at HireVue. Unless you want to NEVER hit your quota because the stupid ass product is so hard to sell and no HR department wants it anyway or you like to be treated like a 2nd class citizen by your sales manager.

Word to the wise: if you’re a sales rep, don’t work at HireVue.

Actually, if you’re anybody with a heartbeat — don’t work at HireVue. If you’re a company thinking about using HireVue? Don’t. Nobody needs video to interview candidates.
