It’s rare, but it does happen every now and then. Just last week, we tried using a string that included “99+” but then we got feedback from our Localization team that this term doesn’t work for certain languages. So now we’re trying to figure out another way to phrase this that’ll work for all languages—while keeping it to 3 or 4 characters.
So I guess there’s always some way to translate things, but sometimes it requires a much longer or more awkward translation.
