Here’s a stupid question:

I’m told by http://www.womenscenter.com/laminaria.html and http://www.awomansright.org/d&x.html (not pro-life propaganda sites) that the dilatation part of an intact D&X takes at least 3 to 4 hours (at 16 weeks or less, but you were at 23), more often overnight, and sometimes a second day. Why would they do that (instead of, say, a C-section) when you were “moments away from seizures, comas, and death”?
