“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.” — Ecclesiastes 1:9

I am the stone that silenced Abel.
I am the spark that starts the flame.
I am the ripple to rattle barricades
And melt the human frame.

I twist the hearts of foolish men
When tribal drums all play.
They feel the beat, let the rhythm
Drown sound and self-restraints.

I am the star that will burn the night
And shatter His heaven by day.
I will torch the fields, ignite the wings
Of doves that toss in pain.

I am a testament to creation.
For when Man clutched the flame,
Who having smelt his burning flesh,
Forged steel swords and chains.

I am the eternal cycle
That will spin to the end of days,
As men satiate their violent lusts
And sprinkle lime in graves.

From the clattering of shattered bones
To the sprinkling atomic rain.
I am the defining virtue of Man.
I am the curse of Cain.
