Another thing you really did not touch on much was the comfortably setup of the keyboard / Mouse. Most laptops really don’t change in this area unless you get the bigger 17" models that sometimes have full keyboards. You can add a keyboard and mouse via the USB port as well with more ergonomic setup for your hands. I know from sitting hours behind a keyboard that how comfortable your hands and wrist can be key just as much as a good clear monitor screen. The display monitor is key to a point it can depend as well if you are developing games if you need a very good one and graphics support once you run your gaming program. Personally I like to make my font and lettering larger then normal on my display just makes it easy for me to read.
