Students Demand Change During The “Youth Climate Strike” in New York City

On Friday March 15, 2019, students across the world went on strike. With the growing risk and awareness of climate change, student’s feel like their worries about the future are being ignored by adults and politicians. Here in New York, actions occurred throughout the day with large number of students all over the five boroughs. Check out some images below:

At 11am, the Sunrise Movement hosted presidential candidate Governor Jay Inslee (D-WA) to address the crowd.

At 2pm, crowds swelled at Columbus Circle to march to the steps of the American Natural History Museum.
