FWIW, the Hi-Fi actually sounded good (I’m listening to one right now, attached to my Mac via the aux port — something HomePod doesn’t have). The problem (as you well know) is that it was a mistake from conception. I know it’s unfair to say it existed entirely because Steve Jobs was mad that Bose was making so much money on the SoundDock, but… that’s totally what it was.
