I don’t see how facial recognition is going to be able to tell the difference between the real person and a photo. Early systems like this have proven easy to deceive with a photo. Even if the technology scans for depth (detecting that a face has three physical dimensions), that could also be faked once you have the person’s 3D facial scan and can 3D print a copy.
