Three Principles For Meeting People: Nobody Cares, Nobody Minds & The Exception Is An Asshole.
Jon Westenberg

Thanks Jon. This really resonated with me. The idea of standing in a corner, sipping a slowly-warming beer is reminiscent of too many past events. Or worse, standing next to a group of strangers and trying to look as if I’m in the conversation so that I appear to be less pathetic to the casual observer.

It took me too long to realize that people generally do want to meet other people. And almost everyone loves to talk about themselves.

The simple act of asking questions and being genuinely interested in others made all the difference.

Thanks again.
