I don’t disagree with the idea, but it’s hard to get past practice. In most other elections, it would be a different conversation. While I prefer one or the other candidate, I don’t think it makes a critical difference in the long run, except this time. This time, we have someone that is so incredibly unqualified I still can’t believe it’s real.

Promote your candidate all you can. Start conversations and try to convince those around you. I wish polls would give an option of who they want to vote for rather than who they actually will. Third parties might have a better shot at reaching milestones like the debates and become a more serious presence in the conversation. But until that happens, come election day, reality trumps idealism.
