Why Nikola Jokic is the best player in the NBA

He’s not fast, he’s not muscular, and he doesn’t wow you with fancy dunks, in fact, he can barely jump. But he’s a two-time NBA MVP, five-time all-star, and NBA champion. His name is Nikola Jokic. Many experts believe he is the best basketball player on the planet, and I agree.
Nikola is much different from other superstars in the NBA. He doesn’t care for the spotlight at all. He’s not flashy, and he doesn’t want to be seen or heard. The man just likes to play ball.
This next quote pretty much sums it all up.
“On the night he was drafted by the Denver Nuggets, Nikola Jokic was home in Serbia, fast asleep. His older brother, Nemanja, called from New York to break the news while popping a bottle of champagne. Nikola answered groggily. Nemanja shouted into the receiver: “You got drafted in the NBA! How do you sleep right now?” (Sepkowitz, 2023)
Nikola may not care for the spotlight. Many people don’t. But he does care about the game. He wants to win.
Nikola Jokic is a great scorer, a phenomenal rebounder, and a next-level passer. In all my years of watching the NBA, I’ve never seen a big man with the type of court vision he displays on a nightly basis. He’s one of the few players that can dominate a game in a variety of ways.
