White People Are Broken
Katherine Fugate

My dear Katherine Fugate, your eloquent message shows profound understanding and compassion, more than I have ever experienced from a white person. I will be 86 years old this coming Thursday, September 13 and I still am governed somewhat and burdened by the internal scars of racism from my youth and up to today. And no amount of achievement and awards and accolades ever alleviated any of the damage. Not even psychotherapy helped. However, If any white person could qualify to call me sis, it certainly would be you. Why don’t we create a new category? Why don’t we make ourselves Sisters in Humanity? After all, all lives matter.
