A Stroll Through An Ancient Ruin

I walk through the Archway into the tunnel shining my light out onto the walls around me.

They are truly ancient, but clearly man-made, they look to be made from really large blocks of stone, there are small gaps where the uneven blocks don’t quite fit together the way that machine-made bricks do, and there’s moss clinging to most of them. In some spots there are stalactites hanging from the ceiling with stalagmites growing beneath them, or a puddle instead sometimes.

“Hello?” I yell into the ruins.

I only hear my own voice reverb back at me.

That’s not surprising, it’s not like I expected that there is still a lost and forgotten civilisation of people living in the ruins below the ski slopes.

Although I wasn’t expecting that there would be a set of ruins at all neverminded ones this big.
