PTSD For Two Please

“Maybe if I just go up to him, that will be enough to trigger thoughts.” Bob says.

“Yea, maybe.” I say, distracted by my own musings on what I just saw.

She’s gone, “Now’s the time, you don’t have to though.” I feel intense guilt about using someone for their superpower like this.

“It’s fine” I say, and we stand up and start making our way to the back, where Henry is standing talking to a small group of people. “So I’m looking to see if he’s been hurt at all?” I ask, just to be sure.

“Yea, that should work.” Bob waves to Henry.

It’s easy to slip into Henry’s mind at this distance Hey Bob good to see you “Hey Bob, Good to see you.” I hope you’re not grumpy about Stacey or anything it’s… I thought you guys were broken up, you have, haven’t you?

“You too Henry, How have you been?”

Good good “Good, you?” oh, you’ve got a new girlfriend, thank goodness, you won’t be mad about Stacey then?

“Pretty good, getting better.”

“And who’s this?” Henry asks as he holds out my hand to shake it.
