Reception

Bob drives us to the grocery stored where I pick out a roll of foil, rip off a sheet and shape it into a hat. Bob tears off his own strip and copies me making a silly face as he does.

“This should keep us safe through the alien invasion”, he says as he hands the rest of the roll to the checkout chick.

I can’t help but laughing at the look she gives us.

“Does it block me when I wear it?” he asks as we thumb through hats on a rack at the dollar store.

“Trying to fish for information to defeat me?” I ask back.

“No, I’m just curious, you don’t have to answer.”

“I’m kidding, it does, but seriously don’t tell anyone, and don’t try using it against me.”

“I wouldn’t dare.”

We find hats to hide our foil hats under and head to the reception. Bob finds our name on a list and directs us to a table with a bunch of other people on it.
