The definition is important, given I am intuitive and work as a Medium. In that work, the focus is to assist in the healing process of those grieving, or to bring balance to the lives of others by becoming a channel for those that have passed on (i.e., dead people). That work requires that I connect to the energies of people that are on ‘the other side’, as is so often the term. Part of that process is to bring across evidence that proves they are actually who they say they are. The other form of Mediumship I practice is communicating with guides and angels, who offer loving guidance to us. These are all energies that are perceived to be floating around somewhere up in the heavens, or in a parallel dimension. The fundamental thing is that they are energies that most people are used to communicating with; people, and/or to a lesser degree, the angels.
Psychic readings can also be done via a direct psychic link to the person, similar to telepathy where there is an energetic connection made to that person. In that scenario, it’s like connecting with the person’s life log. I pick up issues and am able to offer guidance based on their own knowledge of a situation. I have even been able to give messages to my clients from someone who is still living! That’s pretty cool….
Being a ‘Terra-psychic’ is more about connecting, and listening, to Mother Earth, and all the ‘earthly’ things that speak to us.
When I first started my spiritual path, in my teens and un-mentored, I was attracted to the Earth based religions. I researched and experimented with Wicca, Witchcraft, Native American Religions, and Voodoo. In my early twenties I was all about Santeria, Shamanism and Celtic Druidism. Later, when my spiritual path began to lead me to mentors and teachers, I studied Aromatherapy/essential oils, Western Herbalism, and Chinese medicine along side energy work.
Energy work modalities I trained in included Reiki (Master certification), Massage, Shiatsu, and Craniosacral Therapy.
By the time I was in my thirty’s, I was also strengthening my connection to the Spirit World. My Reiki attunement opened my intuition in a huge way. I was suddenly communicating, regularly, with entities that were not incarnate. In fact, I am certain I have communicated with extra-terrestrials. But I digress. A large part of my Spirit work relates to Animal Totems.
Animal totems began to make their appearance in my readings and I had to study them. Most of my information came from Ted Andrews, in the beginning, but I also just connect with the nature of that animal and sue that as an indicator of what the animal is trying to convey to me, for the person that is receiving the message.
The other part of my life is eating natural foods. Not as easy as it sounds, given costs of organic, Non-GMO, and wheat-free products. I can’t say I have mastered this, but I’m persistent in the face of failure! I have pretty much stopped eating fast food, over the past 10 years, save for the occasional Nachos from Filibertos. I rarely eat at restaurants, hence, in my life, those occasions are not worth avoiding.
I love being outdoors. It’s where I find peace, solace, healing, and contentment. I’m an avid hiker, spending all weekends (outside of the hot Phoenix summers) on a trail somewhere. All things connected to Nature have been communicating to me, for decades, but I was not making the connection, or acknowleding it. Then, in March 0f 2014, I was tasked to create a biography for a large psychic fair, and really had to call in my guides to figure out WHO I am! In that session, they shared with me, the term ‘Terra-psychic’. I was skeptical, at first, but upon considering it, and re-living my life…it was clear. The Earth speaks to me. It always has. The connection and communication feel different from the one I have with Spirit. It is still in it’s toddler stages and I’m expecting future messages to really push me to become an Earth advocate, on top of a communication channel.
