I do not believe the issue is actually about a comparison of the best country. When I listened to her speach for that moment in time here and now, I suspended all disbelief and joined in her emotion of the moment, feeling prowd to be an American in this great country that is like no other. America as a country has a shameful past of abuse toward Native Americans, Blacks, Japanese and others. Living in The White House built by slaves, who could have imagined this would be so. Projecting strength and hope for the future, not giving up, doing the right thing, having a vision, watching it materialize. Exciting stuff.
