IA#2 : Reflection on “Graffiti Wars”

“Graffiti art is not a spontaneous activity like tagging in the form of fancy scribble. The completion of a piece or a production involves a great deal of imagination, planning, and effort.”
In the Documentary, Graffiti was the form of art introduced. By using spray paints, the artist expresses their excellence that creates beauty on their artworks. Behind this artworks there are messages that hits Social and political issues wherein ordinary people can see it.
The artists are Robbo and Banksy, Robbo wants to be known by other people through his graffiti, so he painted trains and other public places with his name. While banksy has an exceptive style in his works, some people consider as cheating because he paints with the use of stencils but many people acknowledged his works. For Banksy he used a strategy which other referred as cheating but in the end it was acknowledged as well.

In the PH setting specifically this election, For me, Graffiti wars is like Political/Relationship wars.
Imagine candidates will do anything just to win the election even it’s done through evil or don through an ethical way. Just like Robbo and Banksy they break the rules of the government (Vandalism) and they doesn’t care what other people sayin’ and what other people can feel.
Another thing is, Team Robbo and Team banksy are like the supporters of each candidates that irresponsible in terms of defending their candidates, there are just like empty tins, noisy and Empty-headed.
They broke relationships because of their personal interest only just to protect their candidate’s image.
In this coming election I hope that everyone of us are ready to change for a change that we want in this country. Don’t just leave it to only one. Each of us, Every one of us will sacrifice to fix our country. Don’t let our personal interest overcome our own values.
