I’ve been enjoying the iOS app — so thank you! But my biggest request would be support for mobile Drafts that can later be edited and published on desktop.
I learned this the hard way: one day I had an epiphany followed by a flurry of writing as I frantically tapped out broken, fragmented sentences trying to capture as many ideas as possible.
The next day I opened my computer and went to look for the Draft…
I can imagine a number of technical challenges in implementing shared Drafts, which means there are likely dozens more. So, in the spirit of constructive feedback, I would offer the following possible workarounds, in no particular order:
- A stripped down, plain formatting ‘Notes’ feature streamlined for capturing ideas on mobile that can be continued on desktop
- A one-way Drafts queue, with the option to Save to Drafts instead of Publishing from mobile
- Option to mail draft as plain format or markdown text
- Allow Copying — I was surprised that I couldn’t perform Select All then Copy on mobile and in order to paste into another application
*In case you’re curious, I ended up Publishing the mobile piece, copying the article in the desktop browser, pasting into a new draft and then deleting the original mobile post.
