Cheers to T-day!

Today was my last day being pre-T (pre-testosterone). I took my first shot this afternoon and am now on my way to medically transitioning 🎉

10 days ago, I had my first appointment with my new PCP who is the director of transgender health at a nearby hospital in San Francisco. I (somewhat embarrassingly) cried three times in our first thirty minutes together, as I had literally been counting down each day to this appointment since I scheduled it four weeks prior. The tears turned to relief when I got the news that I was so hopeful–and cautiously optimistic–I would receive: August 28 would be my T-day. That’s today!

I cannot wait to document the progress that my body makes over the next several (!) years as a mature adult transitioning from female to male. Let’s fucking go.

Here’s to the future looking brighter than ever; even in 2020 🍾

-Jude
