My Viewing Experience at the National Museum

It was a great experience going to the National Museum with my friends and actually seeing the works of art of the Filipino artists preserved and protected there. The tour made me feel that I was brought to another dimension/generation when those works of art came to life. I have seen very familiar paintings and sculptures made by some of the famous Filipino painters and sculptors like Fernando Amorsolo and Guillermo Tolentino and some which are very new to me that really have captured my interest. This tour taught me to appreciate individual differences, preferences, tastes, upbringings, genres, eras, personalities and approaches on how they will convey their message. I really enjoyed visiting the National Museum because I am fond of looking at paintings and sculptures most especially those that may look weird in the eyes of other people. I like giving my own interpretation of things and eventually being curious of finding out what the “maker” actually meant for his/her work of art. Earlier, we encountered students from Bulacan that have conducted their educational trip there and became very happy seeing how fascinated they are to see the “treasures” being exhibited there.
