Yesterday on October 13th, I was informed by my good friend Ryan Lewis that his ability to post on his Dip Lip Meme Facebook Page had been suspended for 24 hours due to putting a dip lip on a certain part of the human body and posting it on Facebook. Discouraged, my good friend told me that he might give up his love of making dank memes on my favorite meme page on Facebook and might even deactivate it! This is a travesty! Where can I go now to see memes like these?

Or this one?!!!!

On September 9th, 2020, a YouTube user DoctorSbaitso uploaded an eerie video of San Francisco during the horrendous wildfires that have been occurring in the area. The fires have been the worst in years according to an article in the New York Times:

Propelled by winds as strong as 45 miles an hour, the Bear Fire northeast of Oroville, Calif., has grown at explosive rates this week, causing three deaths as it ripped through mountain communities and forced thousands of people to evacuate. The fire is still growing, but residents were already beginning on Thursday to learn of the damage…

Hey Wilmington, NC. I know the solution for the civil unrest going on right now and what we need to be talking about at our city council meetings.

1. We need more Dollar Generals. I need to be able to buy my cheap cleaning products from Corporate America on every corner. If I can’t spit and hit a Dollar General, then we have a serious problem. We need to do better Wilmington.

2. We need more automatic car washes. I’ll be honest. I wash my car in the driveway to save money, but as a free American, I deserve to choose to take my car to a fancy car wash whenever I want. Have you used a touchless drive-thru car wash before? Those things are cool!

Sophomore Asia Todd who plays guard on Liberty University Women’s basketball team announced on a Twitter video post that she was leaving due to ‘racial insenstivites’ from leadership.

In the post Asia says that her decision has nothing to do with the coaching staff, teammates, or program.

“Due to the racial insensitivities shown within the leadership and culture it simply does not align with my moral compass or personal convictions, therefore I did what I felt was best within my heart and stand up for what is right.”

Her decision comes shortly after three dozen black alumni denounced the…

An essay on how a feminist theologian’s class changed my life.

Hello there, I’m Judson Hurd. I’m currently in my mid 30’s living in Wilmington, NC, as a musician/composer, piano teacher, and writer. Recently I came across a tweet by local UNCW professor Mike Adams, and it made me contemplate some of my academic past at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). The screenshot below is of the tweet, which says, “Don’t shut down the universities. Shut down the non-essential majors. Like Women’s Studies.”

Full disclosure: I do not know Mike Adams, and I have not taken any of his criminology classes. My goal in this article is to…
