You can’t go wrong whether you take up a Mediation or Mindfulness practice. They both have very similar benefits and they are both just as easy and just as challenging. It’s important to remember there is no end — there is nothing to “achieve” with either of these practices. It is simply a tool to become a better human at life.

A few differences between the two are:

Meditation is a more formal practice while Mindfulness can be informal and can be done anytime, anywhere.

Meditation is performed seated and the focus is inward — usually on breath or a repeated mantra. While Mindfulness can be movement and the focus can be the use of your 5 senses.

They can both entail a guided or visualization aspect, however the focus will still be different. Meditation will be inward, and Mindfulness will be mostly outward — both bringing you back to the present moment.

An example of a guided Meditation would be one of visualizing a warm light that fills your body with love. And an example of a guided Mindfulness exercise would be a body scan. See the difference? Or better yet… feel the difference?

Meditation and Mindfulness are very unique to every individuals journey. The only way to really know is to try them for yourself. At Zen Hot you can experience both! See for yourself and get ready for a better, clearer YOU.
