The Juggler.

I’d never get to capture this had I been running around…

That’s the new role I’ve assumed. Or, rather, still learning to. It all started a week back when I landed in Bangalore with my two girl pals…

I belong to a set of people who like to do their bit of research before going to any new place. The tour guide self-help books are our favourites. With the electronic invasion, its now Wiki or Google to do the same magic.
This is exactly what I did, except for on a short notice. But, nevertheless, I did. I looked up, talked around and had a fairly good idea as to where I was heading. Why pretend it’s the unknown when you have all the resources around?

Setting foot in the new place, however gave a very Columbus-sy feel. Carpe Diem! was the one thing going in my mind. Not only did I want to absorb the fresh metropolitan air on my skin but I wanted to leave my footprints everywhere in the city!

That’s where the juggle started.

My two girls…taught me another mantra… Let It Be…

As much as I was ready to run a marathon, I was told to slow down. Sit back J, enjoy the view for a few minutes more. If the afternoon called for a siesta in the comfy hostel room where we were staying, siesta it was.

At first I was afraid, I was petrified…

Not going the Gloria Gaynor way, but I was rather stomping my way as to why I couldn’t have a few more hours of sight-seeing rather than resting my head on my pillow? I did resign eventually (it was two against one!) and I slowly started learning my way to juggle between Carpe Diem! And Let It Be…

Ever seen the juggler work his way? He flings a ball in the air and by the time it reaches back to him, there’s another one up. Followed by another, with another and it goes on. So…

As much as it is exciting to unravel the moments life brings to us, it’s equally important to slow down at times and let go of the moments we assume are of some importance. What I learned in these seven days was this: I did get to paint the town red and also had my share of grabbing a few winks which I was deprived of for so many weeks.

It’s imperative that we learn to toy with both seizing the opportunities vs. letting them go. That’s what makes our lives unique. It’s easier to have one up in the air followed by another. If all went up together, they’ll all come down, hitting the nose!

A red nose is the last thing I’d wanna have…
