or the mind/body conflict/harmony

Most of our life’s sorrows are rooted in the fact that we, as human beings, are ambitious.
Once our basest needs of food and drink have been fulfilled, we immediately start thinking of more. When the necessary chemicals reach the brain, the mind is unleashed.
A power so impressive, that it can alter and affect entities beyond it. A power so wild, that it needs to be locked and filtered within the fragility and limitations of our physical form to be harnessed efficiently.
The mind knows what it can do. Anxiety and frustration set in when the body cannot produce the mind’s intended result. The mind and body are in conflict.
When the mind accepts the necessary limitations the body inflicts upon it, its focus can sharpen. Its power can be concentrated. The stress that comes with its exertion will be in proportion to the punishment the body can bear, and the physical limitations will prevent it from being overwhelmed by its own infinite potential. The mind and body are in harmony.
People are two entities existing in the same space, but of separate planes. The physical, and the mental. Though we may never truly extract the best from both worlds as we are only always half present in each, we can, perhaps, make the most of our fortune, as constant citizens of both.
