Hey Automakers, STOP with the Hideous Wheels. This Trend Must Die Now.

Black and silver wheels. What may have started out as just a bad idea by a sleepy and disgruntled automotive designer somewhere, has now become the defacto wheel design for basically every major automaker. Some are certainly less offensive than others, but this is a design trend that needs to be stopped in its tracks. Few 2017 models were spared and it’s not looking good for 2018 either. Let’s pray we can prevent the ugly stick from clubbing all our cars to death for years to come. The best way to do your part is to throw tantrums in dealer showrooms and/or refuse to hand over your hard earned cash until an attractive wheel option has been presented. Here are just a few of the many offenders below:

In my opinion, Honda has taken it upon themselves to lead the pack in ugly, with Toyota and Subaru vying as well.

p.s. If you hadn’t noticed the “black and silver wheel crime against humanity,” I apologize — you won’t be able to unsee them now and every red light, if eyes are left to wander, will be cringworthy.
