A lot of people have asked me What are the different types of computer operating systems and how do I choose the right one? There are really only 2 or 3 major operating systems to consider when buying a new computer. These operating systems include Windows, Mac OS, and Linux/Unix. These major operating systems typically run 95% of the desktop computers in use today.

The Orlando Audio Visual Rentals started as an informal gathering of enthusiasts at the 1986 Hamvention® at Hamilton County Fairgrounds in Ohio with 65 attendees; through 2009, attendance had grown to over 4200.
