Where do your stories come from?
When I first started using Facebook, I only ever saw my friend’s posts. I can’t remember every seeing any type of news story or shareable stories. Now when I am on Facebook I see a lot more than just my friend’s posts. I see stories on everything from actual news stories

to videos and random

things that have somehow wound up on my news feed. I don’t think any of that is bad honestly. Why should it be bad? Why shouldn’t we be sharing everything via social media sites?
When it comes to news stories, that honestly is how everyone is getting their news, no one is really going to sit and watch an hour long news cast trying to see what is going on and if anything is even worth sitting through the hour long show. Everyone is online now a days anyways so sending stories on social media is going to attract more of an audience than just keeping news stories on their websites.
Now when it comes to random stories and posts that somehow just end up on social media, those posts are just lucky, anyone can put something on Facebook, or Twitter, or Tumblr and all it takes is just one person to share their story for it to become popular. Shareable stories are the exact same thing as gossiping in the older days before social media. Back then only a few people would hear about the story and it would take a lot longer than it does now with social media for it to get heard and popular. I can post something on my social media sites and it will get popular, so can anyone else. It is okay, there is nothing bad about it and people need to not freak out over it and to those journalists who disagree and think bad about it, ask yourself this “where do most of your stories come from?”
