You are right to call this interesting:
“the much-maligned Steele Dossier (the one with the golden showers in it) included the statement that Putin had offered Trump 19% of Rosneft if he became president and removed sanctions. The reason this is so interesting is that the dossier said this in July, and the sale didn’t happen until early December. And 19.5% sounds an awful lot like “19% plus a brokerage commission.”
Have you noticed also that the close associate and “treasurer” of Rosneft’s Igor Sechin, who acted as his liaison to Putin and who was probably indirectly Steele’s source, is being named:
“Oleg Erovinkin, a former general in the KGB and its successor the FSB, was found dead in the back of his car in Moscow on Boxing Day in mysterious circumstances.” http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/01/27/mystery-death-ex-kgb-chief-linked-mi6-spys-dossier-donald-trump/
The role played by Erovinkin is outlined in the dossier. Carter Page (or Trump) was offered 19% of the oil company, in exchange for the US lifting sanctions on the oil. And Erovinkin died in late December.
