My Ideas on CS II

Dear Geoffrey, dear classmates of my seminar course,

the final evaluation post here on Medium is due today. I know, I’m late… And I always was. In my eyes, we had a lot to do for this course — in case you did not skip the readings published on the JGU reader for every CS II lesson. In addition to my other seminars and courses, it was a workload for me.

But all in all, I liked our seminar a lot. I think, you, Geoffrey, were able to adapt its outline and topics very well to the early starting time. Thanks for that!

The seminar contained everything — changing topics, from education to food, from earth quakes to Natives. We had to chat with our neighbours on some ideas and it was a good early-in-the-morning alternative to a whole-class discussion.

I liked that you, Geoffrey, included a lot of media in our course and this is what gave me an own image of New Zealand. I have to admit that I had never got in contact with the country before and that is a pity. One of my friends is now on a trip to NZ and I really feel envy for him. Our seminar really made me curious and I certainly want to experience this country myself one day.

Although I had a nice impression of our seminar, I really had to deal with problems when it came to our medium blogposts. I entered our course late via Restplatzvergabe and I missed the first session which dealt with the postings.

I did my postings each week, I counted the words of every posts, I read the assessments several times but you, Geoffrey, never recommended my blogposts except for one recommendation post. I started asking me why. I wrote an email which was not answered. One of the colleagues told me lately that my post might not be in our publication group and that I had to add them to publication (I found that button!). I wrote a second email and guess what happened: It remained without an answer.

In the next step, I will send an email with screenshots of my blogposts to prove that I have done all the work to be marked “aktiv”. That´s all I want. Geoffrey, in case you might find my “hidden?” blogposts, please write me an email.

To sum up, the medium blogposts really made me crazy, I`m honest here. I really liked the course as you can read above, but the postings (which are mandatory for the seminar…) really caused a hard time.

Dear Geoffrey, would you be so kind to make sure that all my postings and recommendations here on Medium are taken into consideration for my “aktive Teilnahme”? Thanks in advance, Julia
