For someone who likes to romanticize the process of writing as something that occurs with pen and paper, the past few days I have noticed a lot of buzz about the new OpenAI chatbot ChatGPT technology.
Until this morning, I didn’t know much about what it is and why it is making waves.
Listening to The Current, on CBC Radio with Matt Galloway this morning, Matt and his two expert hosts, University of Pennsylvania professor Ethan Mollick; and Oxford University professor Michael Wooldridge, author of A Brief History Of Artificial Intelligence: What It Is, Where We Are, and Where We Are Going, I began to understand why the “buzz” around ChatGPT as well as some of the main implications, benefits, and concerns.
