Poetry Slam in honor of Black History Month: Chaffey College. Featuring Me & X.

Student Services at Chaffey College was inspired to host their own poetry slam for students’ to express their soul or any thoughts they wanted to share due to Black History Month. To keep the show engaging and rolling the show was a friendly competition. First place took home the legendary book, The Rose that Grew from Concrete and admirable t-shirts. Every performance for me is a learning experience. My cousin I performed with (X) was just as excited as me to win first place and rewarded with something worth much more than money, book knowledge from someone we both admire.

the t-shirts we won. Photo taken by: Me.
