Do You Have a Plan?

It is January 2 today. Have you thought about your goals for this year? If you are still figuring it out, let me help you.
This year is my ‘get organized’ challenge. Having a plan is a half of the way, getting it done — the second one. I know how it is difficult to struggle with procrastination and following your dreams. Every step and piece of advice that I am going to share with you is taken from my life, my own way to being and staying organized.
I invite you to join me in this pursuit of meaningful life. Download the printable: vertical and horizontal.
My goal setting system is very simple. I like to keep everything simple and still effective. There are only two steps for you to have a plan for a year.
Step 1. Choose Your Directions.
You need to choose the areas of your life where you want changes or simply you want to work on something. You shouldn’t have too many directions because it is difficult to concentrate on them at once.
In my planner, I wrote three of them: financial, life/work balance and self-development. Each direction has three or four aims. I suggest three and no more. Remember it is just the beginning of our organized life. Let’s do not hurry with big plans. If after some time we see we can do more, we will adjust our plans.
For you I created a blank printable and you can write your own.
Step 2. Develop a Strategy.
The strategy is based on your goals. It is detailed version of them. You write here the way to achieve your aims.
I started with my self-development. I broke it down in three sections too: web-development, content creation and marketing techniques. These areas are not new for me, but I want to improve my skills in the nearest future. So I decided to make it happen by developing a good and realistic plan.
I think now you are ready to set out some time for planning.
