I think that I referred to myself as a “real” writer when my articles started getting published in a local magazine, and then some got published for an online publication. I can feel confident in saying I’m a real writer because I do it all the time. I just can’t say that I “write for a living,” because I don’t. In the past four weeks I’ve earned $72 USD between writing here and on my freelance projects. Not even close to to what I would need to make to quit my day job. But this is still new and I’m still getting the feel of it, so I am hopeful!
Keep going, Glenna, we are all out here cheering for you!
